When you think about it, strong business ideas have created change in the world. The marketplace is the greatest canvas to paint the future on. It’s in the world of commerce that people bring ideas, concepts, and innovation to life. Without the marketplace there would be no outlet or incentive to improve much of anything. When those advances are ushered into our lives, we all benefit.
I’ve been very fortunate in my career to have witnessed the extraordinary power of the human spirit in and out of business situations. Think about the endless possibilities:
- The best photographs in the world are yet to be taken.
- The best cup of coffee in the world is yet to be brewed.
- The best song in the world is yet to be sung.
- The best marketing plan in the world is yet to be marketed.
- You can be better than you are.
- You can grow more profitably than you have.
- You can get better customers than you have.
- You can offer better products than you have.
I’ve seen too many good companies suffer drastic loss of sales, invest in marketing that doesn’t work, miss opportunities to extract potential, and lose leadership.
Anything is attainable by the nurture and application of the extraordinary power of creative thought, whether in marketing or anywhere else, think about this.

Take a look at the human brain. It weighs in at about 3 lbs.
Next to it is the planet earth which weighs in at about 6.6 trillion tons.
Amazing isn’t it…that the 3 pounder commandeers the 6.6 trillion tons. Something about the size of grapefruit holds the power to enhance or destroy something extraordinarily larger, and it can be applied to overcome the problems your company faces in sales and marketing as well.
A lesson from the movie business
Pirozzoli & Williams is a no nonsense collaboration of professionals who have worked together for many years; people who have stood shoulder to shoulder in some very challenging situations. About ten years ago we realized that the first motion picture entrepreneurs operated their studios in a very intelligent way. They were able to bring together the very finest talent in cinematography, sound, acting, writing, stunts and so on in order to produce the highest quality movie. Once completed these professionals went on to other work since they were not fixed employees. This lowered overhead and allowed talented people to continue to sharpen their talents on a variety of projects. That’s the way I’ve decided to go: the very best for the particular need.
